Licensed or Associate Mental Health Counselor (APCC, ASW, AMFT, LPCC, LMFT, LCSW, PsY.D)

Are you a skilled and empathetic therapist ready to make a profound impact on the lives of individuals battling chronic pain? We're seeking a dedicated therapist to join our dynamic team at Pain Trauma Institute.

We are looking for therapists who are trained in trauma-Informed psychotherapy for patients with chronic illness and/or chronic pain. Experience in somatic  trauma-informed modalities preferred. Level-2 trained surf therapy facilitators, or other outdoor therapy modalities a plus, but not required.

Currently we are hiring for part-time (10 client sessions per week), with the goal of a full-time position.  We have both weekday and weekend availability. Our practice sees both private pay and managed care (health insurance) clients.

Preferred Clinical Specialties: Chronic Pain/Illness, Trauma-Informed Therapeutic Modalities (one or more: EMDR, Biofeedback, Mindfulness, DBT, CPT, HRV, ACT, Sensorimotor, or other).  Applicants with other areas of expertise will also be considered.

Qualifications:

🔹 Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, or related field 🔹 California licensure as a therapist or associate therapist🔹 Experience in pain management, chronic illness, or related field (preferred)
